For the first time in history, Portville (6-1) beat Salamanca (1-6) in a sound fashion. The victory was established by a relentless defense, good special teams, and a balanced 'O'.

Up 17-0 at the half, Coach Swetland was able to send in the second unit during the last quarter. The victory puts Portville in the driver's seat in the league. A win over Falconer next Friday will seal first place for the Panthers.

Portville had two safeties, three running touchdowns, a classic TD pass from Nitsche to Forrest, an interception, 3 Payne XP kicks, and a sack by Eric Caya in the end zone.

PCS won the running game (141-95) and the aerial game (138-53), but they had seven penalties. Alex Woodhead had a nice 28-yard TD run in the 3rd quarter.

Catt-LV and Falconer both won, leaving 3 teams at 3-1 in the Class C South league.
