Thirty different Portville boys worked between one to twenty days building the
Irish Basin log cabin, starting in September of 1975. After the roof, door, and windows were added, another 15 males
and females maintained the rustic structure and its contents.
The boys ranged from age 9 to 18, but most of the workers and campers were in the 8th or
9th grade when the Cabin roof was finished in April of 1976.
Here are the people from the PCS clique that crossed Dodge Creek to hang out in the
Cabin that first year.
