The 2012 football season has begun,
and the Portville Panther varsity squad is ready to prove that last season was a fluke, when they went 3-6, which was the first losing season in a long time. According to my Hawbaker relatives, some of who coach, some of whom have kids playing, and some of whom are fans...this may be a big year for the PCS faithful. Led by the #33-26-50-7-25 captains, the attitude seems positive and the boys appear hungry. "They say that they are hungry." Let's see if they really mean it. Let's see if they beat Randolph, Maple Grove, and Silver Creek. Let's see if they can win the big games, and let's see if they can win the 2nd Section 6 Championship in Portville history...since 1986. Only one team (2003) ever won at Ralph Wilson/Rich Stadium in the past 26 years. Let's see if this crew can do it. I believe they can. Sincerely, Big Jim Hawbaker  |
