In Week 3 of New York Section 6 football, the Panthers of Portville crushed the Ellicottville Eagles 35-0 in the Panthers
first home game. Portville (2-1) got 2 TDs from RB Chris Hellwig, one from QB Aaron Caya, one from RB Trent Unverdorben,
and an interception return by Steve Buchanan. Justin Taylor kicked 5 extra points.
At half-time, PCS recognized the 100 career coaching victories for Gary Swetland, who achieved the milestone at Chautauqua
Lake after the first game of the season. Swetland is the all-time winningest football coach in school history,
surpassing Gary's legendary mentor, Bob Connell, 2 years ago.
