Others who joined the effort that summer of 1978 included cameraman Johnny Depp, starting QB on the football team. Toad
Reynolds accompanied the crew on many excursions from that point as well, helping behind the scenes. Klotzy and Time Russell
became famous characters. The versatile Cindy Harrison played several female parts. Wayne, John Sprague, Sue Wormer, Bino
and TK and many others made cameos.
With cerebrums folded by Saturday Night Live, Liverpool’s best, and Monty Python, the filming group quickly
embarked on a new motion picture adventure. Pan and Con hosted gatherings and discussions during July and August to come
up with ideas for a new and bolder project.
Commenting from his second home in Loch Ness, Scotland, Pocko stated in a recent Comedy Channel interview, "Several
factors influenced our choice of subject matter for that third Pan-Con endeavor: wardrobes limited to army outfits, camouflaged
wear, and hunting clothing... episodes of MASH on prime time TV ...thousands of acres of forest... and a fascination with
that little war in Southeast Asia which we all, fortunately, just missed."
Over the next 6 months, the team went "on location" to several points across the township - the Haskell Parkway,
Promised Land, Obi, the Cabin, Cuba Lake, School Street, PCS, the Sub Shop, and the West Genesee Cemetery.
Not Ready For School-Time Players Bretzin and Warner were later kicked out of Pan-Con for not paying their dues from 1979-94
and failing to show up at class reunions. They are presently under consideration for re-admission into Pan-Con.
Randy is being considered because he can speak several dialects of Arabic and Warney will be considered if he hooks the
AC power on Boomer and Milney’s land on Sherry Hollow.
As time went on, and as the story developed from scene to scene, they decided to create an epic adventure, once again
focusing on a group of soldiers.
A soundtrack of original songs, background music, and drug-induced narration added to the production workload, and the
title Yes, I’m A Possum was chosen somewhere along the way. Football season severely limited the filming process;
so much of the work was done on Sundays during the fall.
Kids all over town wanted to be captured on film, but only about 17 minor characters and extras appeared in the flick
along side the main crew.
